Strawberries + Cream Float with Homemade Italian Soda

Summertime is the best time.

There’s something about waking up to the sun kissing your face that sets an incredible tone for the day. That and Trader Joe’s hash browns. If you know, you know. If you don’t… you have a serious breakfast problem that needs fixing.

Yet, my affinity for summer extends beyond pool days, vitamin D and rooftop rose.

When the glitz and glamour of bathing suit season fades away, my attention turns to cooking and baking anything I can without using an oven. Because while we all like “being hot” as a social classification, there’s nothing sexy about sweating through your favorite silk cami. And I’m speaking from personal experience. 😂

When I can have something creamy, sweet and refreshing, I consider that a win. This Strawberries + Cream Float with Homemade Italian Soda checks all of those boxes. The best part? You can make it using just 4 ingredients!!!

I *accidentally* drank both of these while shooting the photos for this collaboration with Amoretti.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Seltzer Water, chilled

  • 2 teaspoons, Amoretti Wild Strawberry Compound

  • 2 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream

  • Whipped Cream, for garnish

  • Strawberries, for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Pour seltzer water into your serving glass.

  2. Use a spoon to swirl Amoretti Wild Strawberry Compound into the seltzer, until mixed.

  3. Top with ice cream scoops and whipped cream.

Pro Tip: Make it boozy by adding 1 shot of vodka into your float.
